Small update on the Ottawa plan

1. Venue. Locked on Suite 34 in the Byward Market area - sweet venue with great angles for projection and a nice bar and lounge areas.
2. Kevin Waghorn, executive producer of the Ottawa Fringe Festival, has joined the Ottawa Twestival team. He’s a pro. This is good.
3. Added a silent auction, and some good prizes coming including a Sens box, Adobe software and more.
4. Musicians are sending in their willingness to play at the event which is great - we will announce this next week.
5. We would love to add a comedian!
6. We are looking for a couple local vids or short movies produced locally to show.
7. We plan on using the Twitter wall app to show tweets from around the world and the local event as well.
8. Looks like the transit strike will be well over, so we are picking a venue that is transit-able. This is good news on several fronts.
More on Monday!

The Comedy Club down the street rents out its facilities during the day, I do believe…
so, since its at Suite 34 im guessing underage people cant go? or how is that going to work…
Do we need to pre-pay for tickets for the event or can we get tickets at the door? I’ll definitely be there and will shout it out to my universe!

I have spoken to Alistair McAlistair from our station here at A Channel and he is looking into what he can do as a comedian for the event. Let me know if you still need someone.
@Kacie - unfortunately Suite34 means it is not all ages. Sorry - we tried to find all ages venues but were not successful.
@erin Thanks! We are going to take you up on your offer!
@Ryan thank you - yes, we are interested
Are you still looking for auction items?
How do we get tickets?
We are partnering/sponsoring a few North American Twestival events to help them raise money additional money for charity water and would love to work with the Ottawa event as well. Shoot me an email when you get a chance david@socialvibe.com
